Karen started as a therapist at Quest Chiropractic in November 2011. She completed her studies which included a Certificate 4 in Massage Therapy Practice and a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2011.
The following are the various types of massage that Karen provides:
Aromatherapy Massage: Combines the therapeutic properties of essential oils with specific massage techniques to promote health and well-being. Aromatherapy stimulates and relaxes the central nervous system and helps relieve stress, fatigue and muscle tension.
Swedish Massage: Gentle soothing techniques that will help put you at ease and remove stress and tension caused by everyday life.
Remedial Massage: Mainly used for treating soft tissue injuries and muscular aches and pains. This is a firm to deep style of massage. For those who prefer to feel a little pain.
Pregnancy Massage: Therapeutic massage is applied in a gentle manner. It has a relaxing effect both physically and mentally. Also addressing in lower back issues or retain fluid, etc.
Lymphatic Drainage: A very gentle and relaxing massage, designed to support the work of the lymphatic system by draining excess fluid and balancing the nervous system.
Myofascial Release: Is an efficient, whole body, three dimensional approach to assessing and treating myofascial restrictions in the human structure. Can eliminate pain, restore motion, realign posture, increase flexibility, as well as provide relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional balancing.
Reiki: Reiki energy is channelled through for emotional, physical healing and providing deep peace and a sense of well being.
Karen has a diploma in Massage therapy and clients will be able to claim on her services. Unfortunately the required provider numbers may take up to three months to activate after starting at a new clinic. Fortunately though, until we receive these provider numbers, Karen's therapy will be subsidized at a significantly reduced rate.
